Day 14

I'm not sure what happened last night, but it seems like a lot of people aren't feeling good about it. And I've been kind of out of the loop with things lately, so I was trying to think of a way that might help cheer everyone up as well as maybe get together with people again.

It's getting colder, so it made me think of something. Back home, around the end of the year in the colder months (at least it's cold then in the part of the world I'm from), there's a holiday called Christmas. It's basically a time that everyone gets together with family and friends and exchanges presents with them.

Maybe we could do that here? Have it on the next Day, so people can get ready for it and the like. Everyone could come to the town for it, if the townsfolk don't mind. It could be like a festival.

[It was a pity about the songs. Such music was better when sung by multiple people.]

We might consider candles in addition to whatever lights we can make. They'll burn down, but they put out light and warmth.

[And if the weather was chilly, such a thing might be welcome.]

I will do what I can to make the food. I might request that others contribute to the price of ingredients if a lot is needed, however.

[There is only so much he can afford. His money has gone to a house and stockpiling normal goods for the winter, and there isn't much coin left in his supplies.]
