[ A rather tidy scrawl appears. But it's unsteady at the same time, unsure. ]

What's so important about a name? People seem to get upset if you don't have one. I do not, but I have no need for one. My purpose has been served, and I am a mere doll. A doll doesn't get a real name, just a role.

Why are names so important? Why? Why is it not okay that I don't have one? I'm a doll. I don't need one. I don' even exist.

I'm not important.

Am I?

If you're capable of speaking and considering your own existence to have this crisis, then you are a person, you obviously exist or you wouldn't be writing right now, and a name is a perfectly reasonable thing to have.

I don't know.

I only have a name because the project that created me had a name.

A person wouldn't be left behind in an empty world. I'm just a facsimile of one. I have to be.

You are a construct, too...?

I am going to have to take personal offense to that, considering my own existence.

If I am a person, then why would I be left behind in an empty world? Why?

Ask that to any abandoned child; are they any different?

I am an artificial mage, yes.

I cannot even claim that.

I am a doll, given a Role in a Play. Nothing else.

But it's nice not being the only one.

I was supposed to be a continuation for my creator's daughter.

"I" should not exist.

If you weren't a person how could you write or think to have this conversation?

Of course you're important. You're alive. Doesn't matter if you were born to a role, or if you've completed that purpose. You're still here. That's all that matters. And since you're here, a name is something you should have. It's a special thing that's yours. Because even if you can't own anything else in a world, you should be able to have your own name.

I was a wish given form.

So someone could come back to life.

I should have disappeared when it was over, because the wish didn't have to be after that.

But I am here.

I am a 'wish.' A puppet. My mannerisms and looks do not belong to me.

They belong to Burlet and Miku. I am modeled after them.

Does that still make me a person?

You're still self-aware and able to worry about your own existence.

So, yes.

And I will happily incinerate anyone who would claim otherwise.

Am I? I don't know.

I should be gone, disappeared.

I still don't know.

I don't think I should exist.

It would be troublesome.

So what? It doesn't matter. You haven't. So everything that 'should' be, doesn't matter anymore. Because you're still here. Things might've gone one way on your world, but here, the rules change. Things change. You're your own person.

That doesn't change that you exist.

You do, and you're obviously a person that exists as well.

No one told me.

I am the consequence of a wish to save another. A world was constructed inside a play. But to facilitate that wish, there needed to be someone outside of it, so to speak. A narrator while the one who could grant them the stage acted his part like he had been.

So I was 'born' to facilitate this wish. I existed to move things and reset things until they reached the True End.

Well, clearly you have an existence beyond that, because you exist here.

And I was intended to be nothing more than a weapon.

We exist; there are many ideas that are latched on to as "what should exist" and "what should not exist" that are merely the product of assumptions being imposed on reality.

The reality is that we exist.

Telling anything that exists what it "should not" be or "should" be does little to change its existence.

And life is life, whether it's created via biological processes or other means.
