[HORSE]

[There is no text in this message. All there are are some drawings of rather strange creatures. After some time, a drawing of a completely different creature is scribbled into one corner.

However, anyone in or passing near Dorm 25 will be able to hear a soft argument between Asch and Murtagh ([personal profile] oneformisery) along the lines of "That's not a horse, it's some kind of monster." "Of course it's a horse! Do you think I'm making this up?"]

...The nightmares I've seen that were brought from the Void were certainly potentially hazardous but weren't "abominations"? Granted that the few that were anywhere I could get a good look at them in person were also warped by elemental Primals and may not have been in their original form.

Were they able to be ridden?

Yes, technically. Ordinarily they were gifts from the Ascians - the chaos-bringers - to certain groups; riding one without it turning on you or taking you somewhere that would lead to your demise requires a talisman to call them and either a strong will with a good amount of power behind it, or a binding from their masters.

If they were altered by one of the Primals, then the followers of that Primal could handle them with little incident.

[ Most of that means nothing to him, but that's not much of a surprise. ]

I see. It still loosely fits the definition of a horse as I understand it. [ Just pickier. Kind of. ]

They look similar to the normal horses from other continents...save for sharper teeth, odd coloration, elemental auras, and having parts of them made of the element they've been tied to. The ones that aren't tied to an element have manes, tails, and eyes of pale green flames, with a horn akin to a unicorn's.

I couldn't say why they take after horses rather than other things, really; most of the tribes they were given to have other creatures they use as beasts of burden.
