I understand now that every message I see is written by someone in the castle. I'm so excited to meet all of you! My name is Jack Skellington. I am dead. I am sorry I assumed it would be so easy for the rest of you to remove your collars. I promise to research a safer way for everyone who cannot remove their heads.

Hello, darling! I'm Jay Zimin—do feel free to just call me Jay—and I'm, ah. Well, let's just call me a scientist and a wonder-worker and leave it at that for now. I shan't bore you with the specifics of what I do, unless you happen to be a man of science yourself.

Not to say you couldn't be a woman of science, too, of course-- and I have known women to go by "Jack", so it's not impossible!

Well, ah-- some of them are rather secret for now. You know how it is, research has to be properly presented and lately we've been rather swamped, so we haven't been organising our work. But I'm always happy to share insights!
