[ooc: the first sentence (which translates to: "I'm just curious if anyone can read this; if you can, please respond and tell me what language it appears to be to you.") will be viewable in whatever language your character normally reads/speaks/writes. the second sentence, however, will appear in hindi so, unless your character canonically reads that language, it will look exactly as it's written. (and in case your character does read hindi and you don't, it translates to: "Also, tell me if you can read this, too.")

What language is the second? It's nothing I have seen before.

It's Hindi. The entire entry was written in Hindi, actually.

And I've never heard of Tōjōan before, yet the first part translated into it automatically. That's interesting.

Well, it just means that not only does the notebook somehow know what language the writer wants the message to appear in but it also, somehow, knows which language best suits the reader. That's a lot of omniscience for some binding and paper. I find that interesting.
