Night 11

So I've been thinking. I have a set of skills what seems particularly useful. I'm what's called a rogue back home. Or a shinobi. That too, but I'm more concerned with what the first has to offer. I know stealth and ways to move shadows round you to soak up damage. How to become invisible to most things. Things like that. I can also teach weaponskills, for those interested, but the aforementioned two seem the most useful in this place. Safety takes priority. Whoever's interested, let me know. Need to get some stabbers what aren't my own--too big for most folk. But knowing how many I'd be teaching gives me an idea of where to start and how much room we'd need.

I can provide you with the tools you need for teaching though they will be temporary. [ As in they won't last for long considering what they will be made of. ]

[ Syhr's isn't much better, honestly. Not much room for reading and writing on the sea. Definitely no time for penmanship. ]

Since you're talking about crystals, I've a guess who you are. But no. Wish I did. Still, anything helps. Even temporary tools have their place.

[ ... it's a curious question. Ysayle's intentions are obvious, she needs them in order to call upon the power of Saint Shiva so naturally any talk of them would paint a negative image of her. ]

Shards is what I usually carry. Fire shards particularly. Good for if you need heat but don't have a fire or firewood, though ice can help cool food too. And indeed it was.

[ You use what you can when you don't have access to firewood or something. ]

Shards have their use though they are too weak for the magics I weave.

You know I seek crystals for reasons apart from strength, right?

It's lonelier than it has been. [ That's as much of a hint as she'll drop on the journals. ]

Learning a new skill or two will keep me distracted.

[ It's... all he writes. His handwriting is still very fancy, but messier then when he wrote his whole CT thing (for the claws are still in the way). ]

Not sure yet. Gotta see how many people I'm teaching. Otherwise I won't know how big of a space I'll need.

Can it be repaired?

[ A chipped weapon is bad regardless. ]

With what, exactly? No metal here could be forged well enough to replicate the steel of Garlemald - the chips are far too numerous to simply merge back together with whatever lesser forges there may be in this backwards land.

The edge is still sharp, even with the chips and infection.
[ Void infection, that is. It... doesn't seem to be going away... ]
Can probably last for a few more fights.

It will simply have to do, or break as everything else shall.

Good to see you still have some spark, at least. May need to get yourself a back-up weapon then, unless you know how to fight with your bare fists in a pinch.

These damned claws could take out an eye.

[ He's still very bitter about them - his writing seems a bit messier as he writes it. ]

But I still might come. Depends on where it is. Not too interested in the other things - only weapons.

[ He doubts he can use powers of any sort. ]

[Luce thinks it is silly, but this feels like the conversation with Marian and to be sneaky. Also how Ms. Livia said she would rather him be safe. So he relents really.]

I need to learn how to be sneaky.

[While negating damage done sounds useful, manipulating shadows seems a good way to attract unwanted attention. However he can't help being curious about the stealth mentioned. He recognises the fonic signature of the one writing - she'd snuck on him before. So it may just be useful. While he's not in the best of moods, he still replies to this after a little while]

I'm capable of fighting plenty well on my own, but the stealth skills could be useful here. I'd be interested in learning them.
