I wonder what would happen if I wore my usual clothing instead of this grey stuff? It's going to sound strange coming from a guy, but this color really... uh, clashes with my hair. I mean, it's white... grey really doesn't go well.

[At the end of the note, there is a scratched out sentence.]

While there are a number of people with pale hair here, there are not many who would ask a question out of vanity, and I know one of them.

So I know you to be pale, likely of hair and skin. You are male. It would be a simple process of elimination from there, ruling out those that I already know.

It seems likely that you are. Though what value "humanity" has on your world may be slightly different. It seems to be one of those words that translates inaccurately. Bi-pedal, male, pale hair, light skin and an ego that suffers under the thought that you might be considered less than attractive, perhaps?

So the ego is an unavoidable part of your personality then. I see. With pale skin, would not a pale pink cause the same issues?

I am quite egoistic when you get down to the nitty gritty.

And it does, but it's ten thousand years better than grey and an actual color.

I have spent most of my life in uniform, and I have rarely heard anyone complain that the color does not suit them.

I am certain that grey does not look as bad as you pretend.

My hair is likely equally pale, and I have noticed none of this. But then, we are hardly parading ourselves through court.
