Dragon Problems.
[ Whomever wrote this entry seems to have written it somewhat annoyedly, and the writing, while halfway between "fancy" and halfway between "BARELY TRYING", is at least legible. It'll likely strike you as kind of... old-seeming, though. ]
I think it is high past time I used this... odd notebook proper. I want to discuss the issue of the varying dragons roaming the halls here.
Most of them are likely well, but there is another one that has been added to the space that broke out of his gaol sometime last night named Nidhogg, and I would see to it that everyone is made aware of what an unfortunate creature he is.
While he is currently incapable of doing much harm beyond burning those who are defenseless in his state, should you give him half the chance, he will still more than likely try. He does not discriminate between his victims, either, so if you look vaguely like a child of man, you will probably be subject to his ire.
You should not communicate with him, or take it upon yourself to try to capture himself unless you have adequate fireproofs in your magic. He can be distinguished by the dark aura he emits and his quad horns and red eyes. Any questions?

He tried to attack the goose in the animal collection and got eaten by it.

... I... that may be wise, as I suspect it will soon have much of Nidhogg's power if it consumes them.

...It's an egg-layer, does that... pass on?

Assuming it affects animals the same way... well, I suppose it may.
... In which case, I have a number of concerns about the safety of the creatures in that exhibit.

Unfortunately, the Lord doesn't care much for the safety of these creatures. They're the regular targets of his servants; I was in here in the first place attending to the unicorns.
not here;
