[Lo and behold some drawings being done, in very familiar childish script. They are two seperate drawings. Above each one is 'MISSING' then drawings of what could be very much Zeph and Alayne, along with their names underneath each drawing.

I just saw him in the stables. Is Alayne not in her room?

Tevin and Amery are looking for them. They live outside the castle and past the maze and I told them I would help find them. Tevin is a Bannerman!

[ 'Who?' he thinks. Wait-- ]

When you say 'they live outside', do you mean this Tevin and Amery?
If you are then I don't think you should be writing this here.

Then how am I supposed to get people to help find Zeph and Alayne? Meet me in in the Garden if you have information and I will give you a fruit.

I don't need a reward for this but I will come find you in the garden. Who should I look for?

You should look for me. I'm blond.

Do you have any defining features other than blond hair?

There's several people by now who know where Alayne is. The Lord keeps her locked in a room upstairs. Zephram moves around a lot; the Lord keeps him here with magic instead.

I've met miss Amery. I think she knows that the problem isn't finding them, it's getting them out without the Lord knowing.

I will bring them here then! The Lord is a huge butt and shouldn't be doing this stuff!

If it wasn't for the stupid Sorrow stuff, I would say he and his [A long pause to try and think of a proper insult for the Lady] horse should be put down.

[Luce is very angry and it can tell in his handwriting. In Sancia, kidnapping is still one of the big three major crimes, one that could easily be a death sentence. After talking to Amery and Tevin- well, it added some fuel to the flame of Luce's natural anger.]

[He isn't alone in that. Asch has banked his coals in the old hole where his resentment of Van goes, but the anger is still there.]

He's definitely a piece of work. He uses a lot of magic to protect himself, though, so it isn't easy.

And Alayne is really angry. He hurt her and her brother a lot, so she wants to hurt him back - but she doesn't care about who else gets hurt in the process. Letting her out would be really dangerous because she'd hurt everyone she thought was working for the Lord, which is almost everyone in the castle, regardless of how they actually feel about him.

Then we bring her family here, Heir and Sorrow can be forgotten! What he and his wife has done is-

[lots of angry scribbles as Luce tries to figure out how to get the words out. Good thing he switched to the charcoals he was give or else he would have broken his crayons.]

She hurt Marten and other people! They are both going to be in the coldest parts of the life cycle again if I had anything to say about it!

[The reply patiently waits for the angry scribbling to be done.]

I know. They've hurt a lot of people. And it's frustrating because trying to stop them from hurting other people is all we can do right now. That, and trying to fix what they've broken as much as we can.

I know people and told them how to get here. I told the Camp what these people have done and they care about that STUPID Sorrow thing to just come in and HELP.

[bloodyashes]

The Sorrow is even nastier than the Lord. Did you see the grey people cleaning in the castle? It turned them from normal people into that. And that's what it can do while it's still caged up.

Only 1/7th of the Sorrow is caged up here, the Lord is using his lordship-iness to do this!

[So much scribbling]

He has failed his duty, he has failed his people! He is a big, stupid, mean butt! So is his wife! If not hanging him, hang her!

[so much anger and angry tears on this child's side]

Yeah. And maybe he wouldn't have been so horrible if he wasn't trying to use it, because it's got its poison in him, too. But he did bad things all on his own without it and that's probably how it got in in the first place.

It tried to use Alayne, too, to make her angry enough to break the seal.

The Lord thinks people are things. So he doesn't care if he fails them - he doesn't care about them at all except for how he can use them.

He is his own person and he can carry the weight of his own sins back into the first form!

Alayne and Zeph need to be back home and so do we and the Lord should not even be a memory along with his wife!

Sebs says Princess Lumi wouldn't act like that, but Princess Lumi was going to have a happy ending no matter what.

[A lot of this is going right on over his head, Luce. World-specific references are annoying that way. And if you could see him, he'd flinch a little at the mention of everyone going home.]

Even if we beat the Lord, that doesn't mean they'd get to go home. We'd still have to find a way back for everyone who wants to go.
