That wasn’t too bad. Not the worse thing to have happened to me. But I feel weird.

Also, I did not get a cool scar for it. In cartoons when something like that happens, the hero comes back with a powerup and a BIG scar.

So I have drawn what should have happened.



[Luce feels too weird to actually color anything, so its a simple black and white drawing.]

But anyways, I will be throwing a party soon for any plush friends you might have. Please RSVP so I can make sure they have a hat.

Luce sounded it out, it was one of those words that felt fun to say.

"I don't want your feelings hurt because I like you." he frowned. "I was mad when he said cops were useless though."

[shuttersense]

"Good. That's very good." She told him, smiling. Maybe she needed to each him more Japanese, since he liked it so much. Little words, just for fun.

"And I like you too. Do you think he was trying to make you mad for saying that, or did he just say it?"

She didn't know any family relation to cops, though she wouldn't be surprised if Luce had a certain focus on justice.

"I don't remember, I just remembered being really mad."

[shuttersense]

She considered that, and nodded, sighing as she let her hand drop. "And that's around the time you swore?"

"The first time." the second time he was looking for a word to describe the Lord and Lady.

"One of my Dads is a cop and he works hard."

[shuttersense]

Uuuuuugh to the first part. Rei made a face.

"I'm sure your dad does. And he deserves respect for doing something so important and stressful." She smoothed his hair out of his face. "But don't let other people control you through your temper. Okay?"

"Can I punch him for being rude?"

[shuttersense]

"No. You'll hurt your hand."

Luce pouted a little at that. "Then what can I do, not like I can tell a teacher. And still, that would be tattling."

[shuttersense]

"There's nothing wrong with tattling." Her voice was firm, even if he didn't hear it. "In fact-if there's something dangerous going on, I want you to run and stay in the garden. And then I want you to tell Spinel or I what happened."

She paused, considering the rest. "Did you feel any better after talking to Kuro? Or worse?"

"I was very mad, and wished a lot of bad things to happen to him." Luce scowled.

"And I will, besides you and Spinel are the best adults here."

[shuttersense]

"It seems like a silly thing to get mad about, don't you think?" She wanted to know. "You could use that energy for something else. Like making paper crowns for your friends."

She smiled, brushing her hand over his hair. "And thank you for the compliment."

She was mostly thankful and half amused as to how she turned into the best adult. She didn't feel like best adult.

He pushed himself more into the touch, shutting his eyes for a moment.

"No. Because he was mean about someone I love a lot."

[shuttersense]

She hummed gently, brushing her fingers over his hair more. He needed the touch more then he needed her to say the right things.

"And he doesn't even know him." thats what made Luce even more upset. "Sebs works hard."

[shuttersense]

"I'm sure he does. It wasn't fair." She made to rub his back. She wasn't sure if he was watching her face, but her words didn't matter. The comfort did.

Luce let out a bit of a happy noise at his back being rubbed.

"He needs to stop being a butt."

[shuttersense]

She made a small noise in her throat. It might have been a laugh, but she did shake her head. And, for his sake, continue the back rubbing.

"Maybe if you're not a butt, he can learn how not to be one." She wasn't sure he'd go for this route, but she'd try.
